Over 22,000 new users have paired their electronic health records with the eZdrave mobile application since the beginning of September. This allows them to have full access to the information registered in the National Health Information System (NHIS) examinations, referrals, prescriptions, vaccines, hospitalizations, laboratory test results, general health information, and more. Citizens also have access to the new “Long-term Health Care” module, which includes mandatory preventive examinations, tests, and vaccinations. The system, developed by Information Services, prepares a personalized health care plan for all citizens and sends timely notifications to the patient/parent and the general practitioner.
From September 2, 2024, citizens who do not have an electronic signature can access their electronic health records through the eZdrave mobile application. To do this, they need to visit the nearest office of Information Services, the Regional Health Insurance Fund (RHIF), or the Regional Health Inspectorate (RHI) at their permanent or current address once and identify themselves with a valid photo ID. Those interested can also visit one of the temporary pairing points. Thanks to the efforts of Health Minister Dr. Galya Kondeva and her team, temporary mobile posts of the RHI have been set up in all regional and larger cities to help citizens gain access to their health records. The campaign to pair electronic health records with mobile phones will continue at various locations across the country until the end of September, after which citizens can visit the RHI, RHIF, and Information Services offices.
The process of pairing the electronic health record and accessing the eZdrave mobile application is completely free and secure. A history of changes and actions is kept for each action performed by authorized persons to ensure full traceability.
Electronic signature owners can pair their electronic health records with eZdrave independently at my.his.bg through a computer browser, as before. The application can be downloaded for free from the App Store and Google Play. Since its launch, it has been downloaded over 175,000 times.
