The e-sale system fully digitizes the timber selling process, requiring only a Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) to participate in the tenders.
Participants can bid in the electronic tender from anywhere on the earth and at any time, which facilitates the process significantly, saves them time and money, and the documentation is entirely in electronic format.
The timber e-selling platform achieves full transparency of the tendering process and eliminates the vicious practice of bidders reaching a prior agreement among themselves.
Using the Time Stamp integrated time and content authentication service, the documents and bids submitted by the participants on the platform are guaranteed to be authentic. The system automatically performs a ranking based on the highest bid price, which significantly reduces appeals and ensures the fairness of the tender process.
E-Tenders
The timber e-commerce platform was developed and implemented by Information Services in 2016. Two of the six state forest enterprises that sell timber, harvested from the state forest areas, work with it. These are the South West State Enterprise (SWSE) and the North East State Enterprise (NESE).
