The mobile application "Help Me", which offers assistance to victims of domestic violence, was put into operation and officially presented by Snezhanka Smilkova, Head of Project Management Office at Information Services, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mariya Gabriel, Justice Minister Atanas Slavov and Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov, the President of the National Legal Aid Bureau (NLAB) Natalia Ilieva and others. This is another mobile application, after "eZdrave" and "eCase", which Information Services develops entirely for the benefit of society and provides transparency, publicity and traceability of the processes.
The “Help Me” app is extremely easy to use and can be downloaded for free from the App Store and Google Play. It is developed in accordance with the best world practices of such mobile applications and meets the needs of citizens and all stakeholders for easy, fast and convenient access to legal assistance, forensic medicine, child support, crisis centers, police, etc.
The app has an extensive database that includes addresses, phone numbers, emails and working time of organizations and regional centers that can assist victims.
Through "Location" filter, users receive information about institutions and representatives of the non-governmental sector in a specific area that can assist them if necessary. "Help me" provides exact coordinates of each of the institutions and forwards users to a link for a navigation application. Users are provided with the ability to quickly dial a phone number and send an email directly to the organization they wish to contact. From the "Information" section, users can find out how to get free legal aid and get acquainted with the rights they have.
