Information Services joined the IT Beards initiative which supports prevention and fight against prostate cancer and men’s health protection. The Bulgarian system integrator is an official partner in the donation campaign.
IT Beards is a charity campaign, focused to the high-tech companies in Bulgaria. Those working in the IT sector can join a photo contest for beards and mustaches within the month of November. Each one willing to participate can register on the specially created online platform and upload a photo of their beard or mustache. Registration can also be done through the Facebook page of the campaign https://www.facebook.com/ITBeards/. Depending on whether he is currently growing his beard or already has one, each participant can choose between the two categories – Fresh start or Already Stylish. To track the beard growth, participants can update their profile each week by adding a new selfie.
The initiative provides an opportunity to involve also donors. Anyone who wants to support the cause can buy points to vote for the beards they like. One can choose among points packages of 1.50, 5, 10, 15, 30 и 50 euro. Payment can be made via paypal or epay plugin, and each participant receives a donation certificate after the end of the campaign.
The collected funds are donated to the account of Cancer Care Foundation. They will be used to launch an information and prevention campaign for prostate cancer prevention in some of the major cities in the country during 2021.
