The National System Integrator Information Services donates 347 laptop and desktop computers to 69 schools all over the country. The donation is meant to meet the needs of disadvantaged children. The computer configurations have the licensed and adapted for schools software, provided by the Ministry of Education and Science. They have a Windows operating system and an Office package and will reach those in need before Christmas.
Computers will be provided to children from families with financial difficulties and this will help them to participate in the learning process during the state of emergency condition introduced by Bulgarian government. The donated technic will help pupils to get involved in the distant learning and not to lag behind with the study material. This will allow them to acquire basic and specific computer skills as well as a main knowledge about working through Internet.
“As a socially responsible company, Information Services periodically donates computer equipment to children in disadvantaged situation and thus we try to support the education in Bulgaria and give an equal chance to all the children”, the Information Services’ CEO Ivaylo Filipov said.
He explicitly states that the company will continue their donation actions aimed to children from vulnerable groups. ”This way we will support the efforts of the entire Bulgarian society to overcome the consequences of the COVID pandemic”, he said.
