Information Services successfully completed the first tests of the Trade Register integration with BRIS

The National System Integrator Information Services in cooperation with Registry Agency and CNsys JSC successfully completed the first phase of the tests for the Trade Register integration with the EU Business Registers Interconnection System – BRIS. This happened before the deadlines set in the project, which is a serious achievement for our country.

„Within the range of the implemented integration tests a total of 78 predefined scenarios, divided into 13 groups were realized and the Trade Register successfully interacted with BRIS through the test platform Test Bed”, the Information Services CEO Ivaylo Filipov said. According to him, successfully were tested also the work processes approved by the European Commission that are identical to those implemented and maintained in the Trade Register of the Registry Agency. This is the first of the three final integration test stages. The project is expected to be completed in the beginning of the next year.

The successful first stage project tests were implemented only 6 months after the Registry Agency sent their request to the National System Integrator about developing a software solution for the Trade Register integration with the European central platform. We remind that in July 2021 the European Commission initiated a legal proceeding against Bulgaria for delayed integration of Bulgarian Trade Register with the EU Business Registers Interconnection System – BRIS. Our country had to interconnect their Trade Register with the rest of the EU countries registers before June 8th, 2017.

BRIS aims to improve the cross-border access to business information about companies and related companies in other EU member countries. The system facilitates the electronic data exchange between the particular countries registers by unifying the way information in the registers is accessed by the individual users. The system also reduces the administrative costs in cases of cross-border procedures and mergers.

The project will provide connection of the Trade Register and Register of Non-profit Legal Entities to the interconnection system of main offices, trade and company registers BRIS. On a next stage a data exchange with the Beneficial Ownership Registers Interconnection System – BORIS is contemplated.
