Information Services starts issuing certificates for recovered from COVID-19

The system that generates EU Digital COVID Certificate, developed by Information Services in an extremely short time, has started issuing certificates for those, who have recovered from COVID-19. All people, who have recovered from coronavirus infection, verified by positive PCR test result in the COVID-19 National Register, will have the opportunity to download EU Digital COVID Certificate from https://www.his.bg/bg/dgc, section "Me and my family", without qualified electronic signature (QES).

In the first minutes, when the system started working, over 1,000 recovered patients received their documents, and since the introduction of the European regulation on 01.06.2021 until today, more than 100,000 EU Digital COVID Certificate have been issued. The number of reissued certificates exceeded 60,000 since yesterday, when the regeneration of already issued documents has begun.

Citizens who want to get the EU Digital COVID certificate and have recovered from COVID-19, and during the treatment were placed in isolation in a medical institution for hospital care or at home, must enter PIN, ID number and special SMS code. The SMS code will be send to anyone who has submitted a mobile phone number to authorized institutions when entering data in the COVID register.

Note that the certificate is valid 180 days after the date of the first positive PCR test for COVID-19. Currently, at the request of the EC and according to the current regulation, the existence of a positive antigen test is not enough for EU Digital COVID Certificate.

At this stage, there are certificates for vaccinated and recovered from COVID-19. Documents for a negative COVID-19 test results will be available in the second half of June.
