The National System Integrator Information Services was honored with two prestigious awards at this year's PMAwards 2025, organized by Project Management Institute Bulgaria. The company was recognized for its contribution to the digital transformation of the public sector in Bulgaria.
In the "Project of the Year" category, Information Services won second place with the project "Centralized System for Processing Court Cases – Digital Transformation of Bulgarian Justice." The project is not just a technical solution, but a fundamental change in the way the Bulgarian justice system operates. It introduces the country's first fully electronic distribution and review of court cases, involving over 600 judges, 100 major applicants, and over 1.6 million citizens, integrating several complex information systems from both public administration and the private sector. The "Project of the Year" category presents exceptional projects from all sectors in Bulgaria that serve as a model in management and inspire other organizations to pursue high standards.
In the "Project of the Year for Innovation" competition, the company was awarded third place for its project "Development of an information system for centralized creation and maintenance of registers." The pilot implementation of the system has shown impressive results – over 80% reduction in the time needed to create a new register and over 90% satisfaction among the employees who work with it. Before the project’s launch, the traditional creation of a register took months, and now it takes only a few days, including training and implementation.
"This year, Bulgaria experienced two significant digital transformations that are radically changed how courts and administrations operate," stated Nikoleta Stoyanova, Head of Information and Communication Technologies, Business Analysis Department at Information Services. According to her, the awarded projects prove that through effective partnership between the public and private sectors, open communication, and a value-driven approach, , successful national initiatives can be realized that meet the real needs of users..
The PMAwards are being presented for the third consecutive year and aim to recognize best practices in project management that shape the future of the industry and inspire organizations across all sectors to pursue high standards and innovation.
