The total number of active users who have full access to all examinations, referrals, prescriptions, vaccines, hospitalizations, laboratory test results, prophylactic calendar, etc. registered in the National Health Information System (NHIS) through the eZdrave mobile application has reached nearly 80 000 people. In the last 3 months alone, more than 53,000 people have paired their health record with the application after 2 September 2024, when people who do not have an electronic signature got the opportunity to visit an Information Services office, the Regional Health Insurance Fund (RHIF) or the Regional Health Inspectorate (RHI), where an authorized employee can assist them in gaining access. The data show that the most active users were from Sofia, Plovdiv, Burgas, Varna and Pleven. The app, which was developed by Information Services, has been downloaded a total of 230,000 times, with over 170 thousand downloads in the last year alone.
"eZdrave gives all the necessary information to patients about their health status, significantly increases the quality of the medical activities performed and increases the control over the public funds spent on healthcare," said Information Services CEO Ivaylo Filipov. According to him, the application is extremely easy to use and the information is presented in a language that patients can understand.
The latest update of the app enables holders who have a cloud signature installed on their mobile devices to register the mobile app without having to scan a QR code from a desktop device or visit one of the offices of Information Services, the RHI or the RHIF. As before, qualified electronic signature (QES) users can pair eHealth independently at my.his.bg via a browser on a computer.
