The National System Integrator Information Services actively took part in the preparation of the upcoming in October 2024 General Committee of the European Association of Public IT Suppliers EURITAS to be held in Finland. The position and main priorities of the Bulgarian company were presented by Kremena Kancheva-Simeonova, Business Development Director at Information Services, during a two-day meeting of the Joint Advisory Group, which met in Copenhagen, at the Danish Government IT Services Agency.
Representatives of the association's new and old members also outlined the priority topics to be addressed at next year's Summit in Bonn. It takes place every two years and brings together stakeholders from national and regional governments, public IT service providers, EU institutions, academic community, etc. The main topics of the meeting are expected to include the implementation of the AI in the services of system integrators in Europe, the digital transformation of public administrations on the Old Continent, cooperation with the European Commission and the European Parliament, etc.
EURITAS, the European association of public IT providers, has 13 member organizations from ten European countries, among them Denmark, Germany, Finland, Italy, Croatia, the Netherlands, Malta, Austria, Switzerland and Bulgaria. Information Services is just the second company from Eastern Europe, after Croatia's APIS IT, to be a member of the prestigious organization known in the European IT industry as the technological Schengen.The goal of the association is to create a trans-European network of public ICT service providers to share know-how and best practices in the field of e-government, to adapt standards and the potential to upgrade IT systems used in public administration. The total number of employed IT professionals in the members of the association exceeds 27 000. Together, the companies deliver digital public services to more than 115 million European citizens.
