Information Services created an electronic register for citizens wishing to be vaccinated

Every Bulgarian citizen who wishes to be vaccinated against COVID-19 will have the opportunity to fill in electronically their application for a preferred vaccine, place and time of immunization. This became possible thanks to Information Services which has developed an online-based platform in less than a month. It is part of the National Health Information System. The registration form is extremely easy to use and is available at https://his.bg/bg/reservation. It was presented by the company CEO - Ivaylo Filipov and by the Minister of Health - Prof. Kostadin Angelov.

“By creating the register for those wishing to be vaccinated, Information Services assists the authorities in the fight against the pandemic and in the necessary organization for the population immunization " said Ivaylo Filipov. According to him, the online register contributes to the logistics in vaccines distribution by vaccination centers and the implementation of the National Vaccination Plan against COVID-19 in Republic of Bulgaria.

The online platform allows everyone to choose a vaccination center in the country, day and time of immunization and to declare a preferred vaccine. The system offers an interactive map of Bulgaria, which lists all vaccination centers so that those wishing to choose can find the most convenient location for them, as well as an up-to-date schedule. The idea is each person to be able to book the convenient for them time. After completing the registration, all those who have filled in their data will receive a confirmation from the application.

The electronic register allows those who wish to change the time and place of immunization, as well as to cancel the already confirmed vaccination appointment, in case of impossibility to immunize.

All the registered for immunization individuals will receive a reminder of the selected time and location via email or SMS no later than 24 hours before the slot they have chosen. The system also gives the option in advance to complete and print the Declaration of Informed Consent, which is mandatory when vaccinated against COVID-19. This saves time when filling in on site just before the vaccination.

The personal data of all those registered for vaccination are protected and only the respective authorities will access the data from the electronic register.

The introduction of an online registration platform will help the health authorities to plan and quickly distribute vaccines in the country, which is the key point in defeating the pandemic.
